What makes Utah a great place for a health care startup?

There’s a growing buzz around health care innovation in the beehive state, according to Cambia Grove’s Utah Health Care Innovation Landscape report.

The 2019 report found 532 firms in Utah working in health care innovation, with a direct employment of 34,000 people in those jobs.

Perhaps most remarkable is the industry’s “five-year job growth rate, which was at 22 percent in Utah—which is staggering compared to the rest of the country,” said Maura Little, Executive Director of Cambia Grove.

In the latest episode of the HealthChangers podcast Maura and Chris Klomp, CEO of Utah-based Collective Medical Technologies, shared their perspectives on why Utah is home to a hive of health care changemakers and how innovation ecosystems like Cambia Grove can foster growth.
