Impact
Problem (i.e. barrier, issue, complication, etc.) being solved for the end user
Healthcare provider organizations are losing patients and revenue to a variety of virtual and brick-and-mortar competitors.

This problem is intensified by COVID-19 and the push to virtual care. Providers are unable to open their doors and patients are too scared to go in the office even if the doors were open and neither the providers nor the patients are equipped to handle the change.

As patients, we've done our banking online, made purchases through Amazon, but since COVID-19, we've realized that there is a lot more we can do remotely, like ordering groceries, shipping, and now healthcare. The health systems and provider organizations that realize that, will be the ones that survive this pandemic but more importantly, thrive in the new healthcare. The ones that don't will find their patient populations dwindle along with their revenues.

Carium is the platform for relationship-based, patient-centered healthcare within the fabric of daily life. We enable healthcare organizations to provide virtual, team-based care at scale across multiple clinical specialties and use cases - and get paid doing it.
Idea/solution to the problem, if applicable
Carium enables providers to care for their patients remotely. Carium helps healthcare providers ranging from primary care practices to large healthcare systems retain patients, obtain efficiencies through team-based care and a single software solution, and bring in new sources of revenue through remote patient monitoring and other services, all while retaining and growing their patient base.

We believe that the care provided outside the four walls of a practice is as, if not more, important than the hour we spend with our providers each year. In order for our providers/care teams to be successful under this new model, they have to have the tools to be successful.

Carium's virtual care platform connects healthcare teams to patients throughout the course of everyday life, so they can collaborate to improve health outcomes, increase efficiency, and make the experience of healthcare better for everyone involved. Carium's configurable, behavior science-backed platform seamlessly powers messaging, remote biometric monitoring, tracking of smart goals, education, surveys, secure video visits, automation, and more to effectively scale population health in a personalized way. We partner with our clients on their glidepath to digital transformation -starting one use case at a time and expanding across their enterprise.
