The Claris platform can be configured to serve a wide range of market segments, works with various off-the-shelf vital signs devices and custom sensors, provides secure and private text and video communications and a sophisticated caregiver portal that simplifies monitoring and billing.

Claris has built a dedicated health care platform providing a range of health and social wellbeing services, specifically designed for older users. It can provide the basic infrastructure to support many high-value services to this market. In principle, the Claris platform collects data from a patient - using sensors to make measurements, asking a patient to answer questions, or simply tracking their use of the system; this data is collected by a dedicated tablet in the home, that also serves as a source of timely information, reminders, communications with family and caregivers, and daily coaching to keep the patient on track. The third part of the platform is a sophisticated web service portal for family or professional caregivers - to monitor the patient, remotely configure the patient's care program or even tablet features, and where appropriate, manage insurance billing for services provided.
The Claris remote care delivery platform has been designed for easy remote configuration to suit a wide range of possible in-home care needs. In most cases the system requires no on site installation, configuration or training. Two 'standard' configurations include Claris Companion for social connectedness and Claris Continuum for Remote Patient Monitoring.
Claris Companion addresses a growing need for assisting seniors needing social communications while living independently or in isolation. An accessible, reliable Internet portal that requires no on-site installation, configuration or training is required for seniors locked down due to COVID.
Claris Continuum responds to exploding demand for Remote Patient Monitoring, also due to COVID. New reimbursement codes introduced by US Medicare in January 2019 allow physicians to charge $51 per month for remotely monitoring a patient's vital signs as measured by an FDA-cleared medical device. In addition, the physician can charge $64 per month for providing the hardware. In each 30-day period, a patient must record a minimum of 16 measurements and the physician or a 'qualified medical professional' in the physician's office must monitor the readings for 20 minutes. Claris Continuum not only makes it more likely that patients will actually engage with the technology and take readings, it provides a sophisticated portal for caregivers to monitor their patients and automates the time tracking and billing eligibility.

Impact
Idea/solution to the problem, if applicable
We have designed an in-home tablet-based application that techno-phobic seniors are able to use without assistance or training. This is a result of concerted effort to simplify all user interfaces and provide an engaging, unchanging, reliable experience for users of all ages and skill levels.
Level of adoption (i.e. list of customers/users, testimonials, etc.), if applicable
Our social care product has been on the market since 2013 and has undergone constant revision and improvement. Our newer Remote Patient Monitoring and telemedicine configuration is gaining rapid market traction with physician practices. Several hundred patients use the system daily; COVID-19 has driven a very rapid increase in orders and deliveries.
Impact (i.e. measurable outcomes), if applicable
Perhaps the best measure of impact comes from the feedback we get from our customers. Here is an example:
"Thank you so much for your fast response. They were able to get it up and connected, thank goodness. My grandparents just love their Claris and it has been such a lifesaver, especially since no visitor are allowed in hospitals anymore. It's a bit traumatic to have the last visual of your loved one being taken away in an ambulance, so it was an incredible blessing to have the Claris available to at least facetime with him while he's there.
Thank you again for all your help and wonderful product!"
