  2. the data is currently accessible to health care changemakers,

Colorado All Payer Claims Database

The CO APCD is the state's most comprehensive source of health care insurance claims information representing the majority of covered lives in the state across commercial health insurance plans, Medicare, and Health First Colorado (Colorado's Medicaid program).
Global Alzheimer's Association Interactive Network (GAAIN)

GAAIN

GAAIN's powerful interactive tools allow users to explore data and create cohorts across multiple data sources and run immediate preliminary analysis while upholding the data control, security, and privacy policies of data owners. These tools are freely accessible to all at www.gaaindata.org. A wide and vastly varying range of metadata from nearly 500,000 subjects can be explored using these tools. Attributes include demographics, assessments, health factors, biologicals, imaging and genetics.

Transparency is one of IHME's core principles and we are working to help expand access to the raw data that we use in our evaluations.

IHME Client Services is a social enterprise within the University of Washington, which promotes and licenses IHME's population health data to private sector organizations.

Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System

The BRFSS is a yearly survey that measures changes in the health of people in the United States. It is the longest continuously running phone survey in the world. This survey is an important source of health-related data. It is the only survey that collects information on certain health factors like tobacco use and insurance coverage.

Washington Tracking Network

The primary goal of the Washington Tracking Network (WTN) is to improve public and public health professional web access to environmental and public health data and information to promote investigation and action to improve the health of communities. The target audiences are public health practitioners, healthcare providers, community members, and policy makers.

Some topics in WTN include: air quality, asthma, birth outcomes, cancer, climate change, heart disease, pesticides and opioids.

Healthy Youth Survey (HYS)

The Healthy Youth Survey (HYS) is administered in the fall of even years to students in grades 6, 8, 10 and 12 in WA. The survey contains questions about a wide variety of adolescent health and behavior topics, from substance use to bullying to water safety to suicidal ideation. Schools choose whether to register for the survey. Each year a state sample is taken, as are county samples for the larger counties. The state sample is used when comparing state-level estimates from year to year.

Washington State All-Payer Claims Database (WA-APCD)

The WA-APCD is the state's most complete source of health and dental insurance data. It contains claims from more than 30 commercial health care payers; the Medicaid program, including its five managed care plans; and Medicare Advantage, the HMO products for Medicare members. The WA-APCD has historical claims data starting in 2013, and each calendar quarter, the most current claims data are added to the all-payer dataset. Data from Washington's workers' compensation program are also available.
