Regence Developer’s Portal: FHIR Provider Directory API / FHIR Patient Access API
Regence have made two data resources available, the FHIR Provider Directory API and FHIR Patient Access API, to comply with federal interoperability requirements.
Regence’s developer’s portal was launched in January 2021 and updated in July to help developers and organizations comply with API capabilities specified by the federal CMS interoperability mandate. The FHIR Provider Directory API enables access to provider directory information publicly available via a standards-based API; and the FHIR Patient Access API allows patients to easily access their claims and encounter information, including cost, as well as a defined sub-set of their clinical information through third-party applications of their choice. The patient access API helps members download their claims and clinical data. They also allow members to search for provider data and API.
Steps Required to Obtain Data
Developers will first need to request a public access token from Regence’s token service. Learn more about our access portals and how to connect to our API at https://www.regence.com/for-developers.
