Cambia Grove is excited to welcome the National Coordinator for Health IT, Dr. Don Rucker, as our guest for a special fireside chat in Portland, moderated by Mohan Nair, Senior Vice President and Chief Innovation Officer of Cambia Health Solutions.
Dr. Don Rucker leads the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC). The ONC is located within the Office of the Secretary for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and is the principal federal entity charged with coordinating nationwide efforts to implement and use the most advanced health information technology and encourage the electronic exchange of health information.
Why you should attend: As we learned through our Solution Series at Cambia Grove, data silos serve as a barrier to innovation in health care. During the fireside chat, Dr. Rucker will address how ONC is working to create a national ecosystem where data can be used to make health care more transparent and patient accessible. Specifically, attendees will have the opportunity to discuss ONC’s proposed rule to implement the 21st Century Cures Act. The proposed rule requires secure open APIs, identifies reasonable and necessary activities that are exceptions to information blocking and updates the ONC Health IT Certification Program.
Register now to discuss the future of national health IT with Dr. Rucker!
Dr. Rucker will join the Cambia Grove for a two-day, Pacific Northwest tour to discuss current initiatives focused on how to best use data to advance the next generation of health care technology. We will host a fireside chat in Portland, OR on April 16 and in Seattle, WA on April 17. Please make sure you register for the event nearest you.
