With support from the Person-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) as part of their Eugene Washington Engagement Award for Capacity Building grant, C-TAC is convening this Forum in partnership with Honoring Choices Pacific Northwest to highlight the findings of three pioneering research studies on communication, ACP, and decision-making. These three studies are led by distinguished PCORI-funded academic investigators.

The purpose of this Forum is to place these person-centered, actionable PCORI studies in the hands of implementors – health system leaders, individual providers, payers, community and state coalitions, and advocacy groups – who can use the research findings to improve the delivery of care for patients living with advanced illness.

The following PCORI-funded investigators will present their research:

Rebecca Sudore, MD, Professor in the Department of Medicine, University of California in San Francisco

J. Randall Curtis, MD, Director of the Cambia Palliative Care Center of Excellence at the University of Washington in Seattle

Larry Allen, MD, Professor of Medicine-Cardiology in the School of Medicine at the University of Colorado in Denver
