BIO: Aaron Flaster, Founder & CEO, Community Collaboratory
Aaron (he/they/them) has worked in mental health research for 6 years in Seattle, WA, initially focusing on how trauma exposure in childhood/adolescence impacts brain and emotional development. Aaron then worked in a psychology research lab focusing on telehealth psychosocial interventions for adults with long-term health conditions and physical disabilities. Aaron founded Community Collaboratory in 2020 to increase access to social support because of personal experiences seeing that it was too hard to offer/receive social support and traditional volunteering was not accessible for many individuals. Aaron's professional interests include social support, poverty, community psychology, and social entrepreneurship. Aaron is originally from California and lives in Rainier Beach with their lovely housemates.
