Office Hours are conducted by members of the Cambia Grove Sounding Board to provide one-on-one appointments with those working toward health care transformation. There are four one-on-one time slots, 30-minutes each.
Prior to the office hour sessions, we will send out “Confirmation Required” emails to registrants. You must email back to confirm your slot, or we will have to release your ticket.
Join Malayka Gormally, Executive Director of Concussion Alliance, to discuss how patients and caregivers access evidence-based information about their healthcare choices, and how innovations might improve this access.
Bio: Malayka Gormally serves as the Executive Director of Concussion Alliance, which she co-founded with her college-age son, Conor Gormally. Their mission is to create a culture where anyone who has a concussion can find the support and treatments they need to recover. Concussion Alliance is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, part of the CascadiaNow! nonprofit family.
Concussion Alliance is a trusted resource for evidence-based information about medical and alternative treatments for concussions, and also provides practitioner search tools. In order to help her family members, Malayka has spent the last six years learning about treatments for concussions and post-concussion syndrome. She works with healthcare professionals and researchers who contribute articles for the website and provide their expertise.
Concussion Alliance is coordinating with Carleton College to create a college pilot program to ensure that educational institutions will have the proper knowledge and procedures to support students with concussions.
Malayka is also a small business owner, artist, and independent art curator.
