Nancy Giunto was appointed executive director of Washington Health Alliance in September 2014 after serving for 14 year as executive director of Foster Pepper law firm in Seattle. Working in partnership with the board of directors, Nancy has guided the organization in its second decade collaborating with providers, purchasers, payers and patients to promote transparency in health care and improve quality and affordability.
Ms. Giunto has had a long career in health care, first at National Institutes of Health in Washington D.C. as a program analyst, and then at the American Hospital Association. She spent seven years as an administrative leader at Intermountain Health Care, a large health care system in Salt Lake City. For ten years she was employed by Providence Health & Services in a variety of positions including chief operating officer and operations administrator for a hospital and special assistant to the CEO working on significant system initiatives.
She graduated summa cum laude from The Ohio State University with a B.S. in biomedical communications. She also earned a Master of Health Administration degree from The Ohio State University, graduating first in her class.
