Prescription mismanagement is a $528 billion disaster, and another $39B is spent on medications when lower cost alternatives are available.

Providers, health systems and plans who are at risk (value based care) are scrambling to get in front of the cost curve - and are resorting to calling patients individually - expensive and inefficient.

At ScalaMed, we realized there is an inherent problem with the Rx system, which bypasses patients leaving them feeling vulnerable and out of control, and a huge opportunity exists to create a consumer controlled smart prescription to empower and engage patients, whilst bringing much needed visibility, and virtual coordination at scale for providers and plans.

With new CMS requirements on Real Time Benefit, ScalaMed offers true real time benefit information within the patient workflow as the patient is reviewing their medicine and possible alternatives, and whilst they are selecting their pharmacy.
