The 5 Points of Health Care is a Cambia Grove original framework designed to better understand the health care system by breaking the system into five distinct sectors: Patients, Payers, Providers, Policymakers and Purchasers.
Utilizing this framework, Cambia Grove has designed a programming series with the goal of lowering the barrier to entry for innovators seeking to make changes in the health care system. Throughout the program, entrepreneurs will be introduced to the primary stakeholders in health care in such a way that they understand the challenges and where they can fit in to find innovative solutions to the critical issues facing the system.
Cambia Grove Fireside Chats bring together national thought leaders from around the country to discuss the future of health care.
Our Seattle edition, Under the Boughs, takes place with series founder, moderator and UW President Emeritus, Lee Huntsman. In Salt Lake City, UT, we have Under the Aspens, moderated by Jennifer Napier-Pearce, Editor at the Salt Lake Tribune.
During the course of the 90-minute fireside chat, our moderators guide an interactive dialogue covering an array of issues relevant to health care transformation.
The Traction and Implementation Lead to Solutions (TRAILS) is a competition designed to provide promising startups access to real-world testing and application within the health care system to gain working knowledge of how the system works. Through this experience, startups can iterate on their solution to make it a lean, high-value product.
Cambia Grove’s mission is to bridge the gap between entrepreneurs and the traditional health care sectors. We know that innovating in health care is hard. There are system-level barriers preventing our health care sector from transforming to be more person-focused and economically sustainable.
Join Cambia Grove for small roundtable discussions including Success Stories from the Field, Barriers to Innovation and conversations led by various health care system stakeholders on priority topics. Check out our calendar to see what's available.
Lunch & Learn at Cambia Grove, presented by Echo Health Ventures, is a monthly lunch dedicated to educating and preparing startups for the investment pipeline. Through the Lunch & Learn series, service providers provide lunch, networking and an intimate Q&A experience with companies that health care startups may work with as their businesses develop.
For entrepreneurs, Lunch & Learn offers opportunities to connect with other innovators over lunch and to expand their subject matter expertise through an investor’s lens. The emphasis is on actionable insights, not sales pitches.
Cambia Grove open houses bring together leaders from the health care community as well as investors, entrepreneurs and other professionals eager to fuel innovation. These informal, quarterly breakfasts are an excellent opportunity to make connections that can lead directly to your next business venture. We invite you to gather with other community members for coffee, bagels and networking.
2020 Cambia Grove Innovator Fellows will work with national leaders in health data interoperability to develop a health payer consent framework while being trained and certified in HL7 FHIR standards. Fellows will be matched with a selection of national leaders in a mentor and mentee relationship to build their FHIR skills in a real world application. The HL7 FHIR data standards will lay the foundation for meaningful advancement in health care per the upcoming ONC and CMS guidelines. Organizations taking part in this effort will be well positioned to be leaders in digital health care transformation.
This series was built upon the idea that the community has all the right ingredients to solve big health care challenges. Cambia Grove convenes stakeholders around high-priority topics, identifies specific challenges and opportunities associated with each topic, and catalyzes solutions to support system-wide transformation.
