5 Points of Health Care™
The 5 Points of Health Care is a Cambia Grove original framework designed to better understand the health care system by breaking the system into five distinct segments: Patients, Payers, Providers, Policymakers and Purchasers.
Utilizing this framework, Cambia Grove has designed an annual Conference to Summit cadence to lay bare the complexities and hurdles surrounding innovators seeking to make changes in the health care system. The 5 Points of Health Care conference, typically in beginning of the year, explores overarching questions like how the health care system was intended to work compared to how it actually works. This overview, with broad system, patient and changemaker representation, sets the program priorities for the rest of the year and helps inform the topics we will discuss and unpack at the 5 Points of Health Care Summit.
In 2020, we included a virtual series, Paying for Health, centered around understanding how payments impact health care innovation. Discussion topics included social determinants of health, population health, health disparities, medical care, business incentive alignment and more. The Paying for Health Series deconstructed these high-level topics in greater detail.
Throughout the conference and summit, attendees are introduced to the primary stakeholders in health care to learn about how they can leverage their expertise to help find innovative solutions to the critical issues facing the system.
